Open Level Yoga

Open Level classes are open to students of all levels - beginners and students with yoga experience. Clear the mind, strengthen the body and deepen your yoga practice with instructive classes focusing on a variety of hatha yoga poses, energizing vinyasa flows, breath and relaxation techniques.  Classes are geared toward the level of the individual students.  Holistic and enriching classes lasting 1hr and 15min. Gentle Yoga

Slower pace, gentle & relaxing class.  More personalized modifications with props, if needed.  Great for beginners, seniors, moms-to-be, those with health issues or injury, or anyone looking for a slower paced, nourishing and relaxing class.  We'll focus on basic hatha yoga poses, building strength, flexibility and balance, and also incorporate some slow flowing sequences.  Recharge, restore and relax.  1 hour and 15 minutes.

Open Level 40+

Our Wednesday 6pm Open Level class is especially inviting to students over age 40, although all ages are welcome.  This class is also very welcoming for beginners.  Kathryn is a long time practitioner of yoga, and brings many years of life experience to her classes.  Our bodies may not want to do everything we did in our 20's, but we continue to grow as humans.  The later years can be the most joyful, exceptional and rewarding.

Yoga & Meditation

Yoga & Meditation is an open level class, welcoming to beginners and those with some yoga experience. Stretch, strengthen and improve balance as we learn and practice hatha yoga.  We'll focus on some gentle, stress relieving poses & flows, and use the breath to relax and restore. We'll also spend about 10 minutes of each class exploring mindfulness and/or meditation. With Mindfulness, we learn to pay attention to the present moment with intention, purpose, and without judgement. Meditation, a core practice of yoga, involves letting go of distracting thoughts and tensions and turning the attention within. We begin to experience who we are on a deeper level, connecting to a profound sense of clarity, compassion and happiness. Thousands of studies have shown the physical and mental health benefits of mindfulness and meditation.

Mindful Flow

In mindful movement, one can connect to a deep expanse of self-love, creativity, and strength.  In this slow flowing class you will explore all three.  De-stress and release tension with a short opening meditation and extended warm-up period. Deepen your mind/body connection as you explore creative transitions interwoven through a slow building, thoughtful flowing sequence of yoga poses.  Deepen into your connection with the moment and all that is around you as you use your senses to help your body lift, lengthen, and bend. We may also explore some challenging poses.  Rejuvenate with a cool down of relaxing and restorative poses. Some previous yoga experience is encouraged for this class.

Hatha Flow

Hatha Flow combines Hatha yoga with moving, flowing yoga sequences.  Portions of the class focus on alignment, and holding poses for several breaths.  This builds strength, balance and flexibility.  It also helps develop focus, deepen inner awareness & release stress. Classes also incorporate flowing sequences where we move from pose to pose, coordinating movement with breath.  Classes end with deep relaxation. This class may also include exploring and developing more challenging poses.  Certified Yoga Instructor Bethany also has a BA degree in Dance.  She brings a graceful, creative, and energizing feel to her classes.  Gain a rich experience of yoga with this 1 hr and 15 min class. Some prior yoga experience is encouraged for this class.


Meditation - 1st Wednesdays

Meditation has been proven to reduce stress effects, increase brain power and help gain a higher perspective of life.  Quieting the mind often leads to opening the heart and connecting with the inner self.  Learn to connect to a sense of peace, deeper awareness and inner joy.  Classes are generally seated, and involve various yogic meditation practices such as chanting, mantra and guided and silent meditations. Yogic readings, and talks may be included.  Chairs and blankets are available. We finish up with questions and discussion.  See our Meditation page for more info. Donations appreciated. Suggested donation $5 - $12.  Drop-ins & beginners are welcome.


108 Sun Salutations (once a month)

108 Sun Salutations Class (Surya Namaskar) is a powerful, invigorating and energizing experience.  For those who enjoy Vinyasa Flow, this class is a great way to stay fit and can also be used as a moving meditation.  This set of 12 energetic yoga asanas, repeated 108 times will stretch and strengthen the whole body & provide a cardiovascular workout as we move in harmony with each breath.  Some yoga experience & familiarity with Sun Salutations is necessary.
