Mini Retreat: Discovering Your Inner Spark, Sat July 22nd, 2-5:30pm
Take a break just for you, while taking your practice to a deeper level. Enjoy centering, joyful practices in the Shambhava Yoga tradition. Focus on discovering and connecting to the spark of divinity that exists within. 2pm Opening Discussion/Welcome, Open Level Yoga 2:15-3:15pm, Kirtan 3:45- 5pm (devotional, blissful yogic music, chanting and singing), followed by quiet seated Meditation 5- 5:30pm. Kids are welcome to join the kirtan portion with a parent/gaurdian, and may leave quietly at the beginning of meditation. Adults $25, Seniors(60+) or Students with ID $20, Kids $5.

Yoga Night with the Washington Wild Things, Sat June 17th, 5:30pm
Join us for Yoga on the outfield before the Washington Wild Things game on Sat June 17th! Enjoy a fun and uplifting yoga class with family, friends, and Wild Things fans, and stay for the game. All levels welcome. Doors open at 5pm. We'll head out to the field at 5:30 and begin our class. Stick around for the game at 7. Please bring a yoga mat.
Farm Yoga - Sunday June 4th, 1pm $14 Adults, $10 Kids
Fun and family friendly Yoga on the Farm. Enjoy yoga in the fresh air and the great outdoors. We'll set up in the fields overlooking a lovely log cabin main house, and barn with chickens and baby goats. Located just off Route 19, not far from Sri Yantra Yoga and Tanger Outlets. We will have a few extra mats, but please bring a yoga mat if you have one. Weather Permitting. Kirtan: Yogic Music and Chanting - Sat April 8th, 7-8:30pm, $10 adults, $5 kids
Raise your vibration with Kirtan! This beautiful chanting & singing comes from the Bhakti Yoga tradition, the yoga of devotion and love. The energy of the chanting can uplift our spirit, open our hearts, and connect us deeply to the center of our being. Kirtan has been popular in India for 5000 years. Using Sanskrit mantras, kirtan helps quiet the mind and increase our energy flow. It's a wonderful way to joyfully open the heart and connect to the Divine. Chanting together not only fosters community, but also amplifies positive vibrations. No musical experience is necessary to join in the singing. All are welcome. We'll finish up with a seated meditation.
Patti "Sangita" Spadaro is a professional guitarist/singer/songwriter & a yoga/meditation teacher. She's released several CDs and has performed nationally. Long time yogis/kirtan musicians Ven and Veena Kelly have been leading kirtan for 15 years. Together, this group of musical yogis radiates wonderful good vibes! Light snacks and social time afterward.
Workshop: Yoga for Migraine Relief - Sunday 2/26, 5-6:30pm. $20
Studies have shown that yoga can reduce the frequency and intensity of migraine headaches. Learn what yoga postures are recommended to do regularly and even during a migraine or painful headache episode. Yoga Instructor Julie Booth will lead the workshop, and our Drum Circle facilitator John Spadaro will show you how to do a breathing technique that he finds very effective in relieving and/or stopping his own migraines.
Yoga Nidra - Sunday 2/19, 3:30-4:45pm. $10 cash donation
Deep, guided, full body relaxation. Allow stress to melt away, as you enter a state profound conscious relaxation. Restore the body, senses, and mind to their natural function as you simply let go and connect to an inner state of peace. Bring a yoga mat (or use ours), blanket, pillow, sweatshirt, socks, eye-pillow or whatever you like to stay warm and comfy. Proceeds will go to the Ann Arbor Women's Shelter.

Equinox Drum Circle - Fri Sept 23rd, 7-9pm, $5
Group drumming is a traditional way to come together to celebrate the change of seasons. On the Equinox, day and night are equal length, symbolizing balance and harmony. While embracing our inner light, we also allow for times of stillness and quiet reflection. Harvest reminds us to be grateful for our many blessings. Leaves begin to fall, reminding us of the benefits of letting go, releasing what no longer serves us to make way for new growth.

Restorative Yoga with Massage & Essential Oils
Experience deeply relaxing restorative yoga postures while receiving a massage to the face, hands, back, and feet. "Motivate" essential oil blend will help cultivate encouragement and confidence. "Cheer" blend during final relaxation is uplifting and calming; encouraging self-love and counteracting negativity. Other oils are used during each restorative posture. Julie Booth is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Yoga Teacher. She will guide you through the poses and treat you to a deeply relaxing massage using DoTERRA essential oils.

Restorative Yoga with Relaxing Bodywork
Welcome springtime with this cleansing, rejuevenating & restorative class. Enjoy deeply relaxing yoga postures while receiving a massage to the face, hands, back, and feet. Restorative Yoga is the yoga of non-doing. Poses are supported with blankets, bolsters, and blocks. Julie Booth is a Licensed Massage Therapist and Certified Yoga Teacher.
Mudra Workshop with Julie Booth (part 1)
Mudras are gestures that act as energetic seals. This workshops is like yoga for the hands. We can effectively engage or influence our mind and body by bending, crossing, extending, or touching the fingers with other fingers. In this workshop, various mudras for different areas – preventing illness, supporting healing, emotional and physical problems, or calming yourself from everyday life will be demonstrated. We will also practice pranayama (breathing), some gentle yoga postures, affirmations, and visualization.
Vinyasa Teacher Training with Gayatri.
Gayatri is a Yoga Alliance certified Teacher Trainer, & she is director of Yogic Programs at the Shambhava School of Yoga, Shoshoni, in Colorado. She is leading a 30 hour Vinyasa Teacher Training for teachers who already have their 200 hour certification.

Sri Yantra is honored to host a very special guest, the founder of Shambhava Yoga, teacher of thousands of students world-wide, and teacher of several of our instructors here, Sri Shambhavananda.
"Babaji" as he is affectionately known has devoted his life to serving those who seek inner change through the ancient disciplines of yoga. Babaji will be visiting with us from Colorado. This is a rare and unique opportunity to spend time with a higly respected teacher and deepen your experience of meditation and yogic practices.
Shambhava Yoga is described as the direct experience and insight into one’s true inner nature, available to anyone who is ready to quiet the distractions of the mind and open the heart. Sri Shambhavananda has nourished the growth of students across the world for over forty years. He founded three thriving ashrams, published books, and inspired the development of numerous yoga centers around the country. We are thrilled to have him with us.
The program includes live music and chanting, meditation techniques, and satsang (questions and answers). The chanting is easy to follow and filled with a wonderful Shakti (meditative energy).
A Little Yoga and Mystery
We're celebrating the debut of former Sri Yantra Yoga teacher Annette Dashofy's first novel "Circle of Influence". Annette will lead us in a 40 minute, relaxed yoga session. Then she'll talk about the book, and autograph copies while we enjoy healthy snacks. Free.
Mindfulness Programs: Director of the Way of Compassion Foundation & director of the Tibet Monks Gaden Shartse monastery tours of the U.S., John Chophel Bruna is a warm, inspirational speaker and teacher. We are happy to bring him to Sri Yantra.
Two day course providing skills that are practical and accessible. Mindfulness is learning to be present in the moment with clarity and discernment. To experience life consciously and respond with wisdom.
Everyone can benefit from mindfulness regardless of cultural or spiritual background. Mindfulness practices help open the heart, allowing us to deepen our relationship with ourselves and others. Discussions include the cultivation of equanimity, loving-kindness, compassion, and joy. Native American Storytelling - An afternoon with James Beard (Noonin), author of "White Mocs on the Red Road". Noonin is a student of native teachings from Ojibwe Elders, Algonquin language based native people of US and Canada. Program includes Native storytelling, Native medicine, Native music, wellness and balance in life.
SEVA Yoga for Sight - joining with thousands of compassionate yogis to raise funds for free glasses & sight restoring surgery to those in need.
Drum, Write, Draw with Bryan Fazio:
Experience the joy of drumming with rhythms from around the globe, create original mandala art, and draw on our experience for some in-the-moment writing. "My intention is to empower participants with a deeper sense of our own unique creativity. This wellspring is within us all (not just artists)." -Bryan Fazio Bryan teaches Blissful Drumming at CCBC & has performed at the Great Blue Heron Music Festival & All Good Music Festival.

Our workshops with special guest teacher Swami Devananda were wonderful! We feel grateful and blessed that she could visit Sri Yantra Yoga and spend some time with us. Our Yoga and Meditation workshops with her were deeply nurturing and nourishing to body, mind and spirit. Our Teacher Training program with her was absolutely wonderful. And the family yoga workshops were inspiring, creative, and great fun.
