Yoga I - returns in Sept

Yoga I is an enjoyable & safe way to learn and practice the fundamental postures of Hatha Yoga.  This is a great class for beginners, and also for those preferring an easier, more instructive & relaxing class. Gain strength, flexibility & balance that will extend beyond the physical level to all areas of your life. Use breath as a way to de-stress, calm yourself and energize.  Deepen focus and increase presence.  Some basic flows such as Sun Salutations are introduced.  Students are encouraged to learn and work at their own pace.  Gain a rich experience of yoga with this 1hr and 15 min class.  This class will not meet in July and Aug.  See you in Sept!

Open Level Yoga

Open Level classes are open to students of all levels - beginners and students with some yoga experience. Clear the mind, strengthen the body and deepen your yoga practice with instructive classes focusing on a variety of hatha yoga poses, energizing vinyasa flows, breath and relaxation techniques.  Classes are geared toward the level of the individual students.  Holistic and enriching classes lasting 1hr and 15min. 

Hatha Flow

Hatha Flow combines Hatha yoga with some flowing vinyasa style sequences.   Intermediate level class.  There will be portions where we focus on alignment and hold poses for several breaths.  This builds strength, balance, flexibility, helps develop focus, deepen inner awareness & release stress.  Classes also incorporate some flowing sequences where we move from pose to pose, coordinating movement with breath.  Classes end with deep relaxation.  A lovely combination of energizing poses and relaxation.  Best suited to those with some prior yoga experience.  1 hour and 15minutes.

Vinyasa Flow

Vinyasa yoga moves at a quicker pace, with one yoga pose flowing to the next, in a sequence coordinated with the breath.  This is an intermediate level class, best suited to those with prior yoga experience.  This class may also include exploring and developing some more challenging poses.  Gain a rich experience of yoga with this 1 hr and 15 min class.

Gentle Yoga

Slower pace, gentle & relaxing class.  More personalized modifications with props, if needed.  Great for beginners, seniors, moms-to-be, those with health issues or injury, or anyone looking for a slower paced, nourishing and relaxing class.  We'll focus on basic hatha yoga poses, building strength, flexibility and balance, and also incorporate some slow flowing sequences.  Recharge, restore and relax.  1 hour and 15 minutes.

108 Sun Sals (meets twice monthly)

108 Sun Salutations Class (Surya Namaskar) is a powerful, invigorating and energizing experience.  For those who enjoy Vinyasa Flow, this class is a great way to stay fit and can also be used as a moving meditation.  This set of 12 energetic yoga asanas, repeated 108 times will stretch and strengthen the whole body & provide a cardiovascular workout as we move in harmony with each breath.  Some yoga experience & familiarity with Sun Salutations is necessary.  Generally meets 2 Sundays a month at 8:30am.  Please see our calendar for class meeting dates.  Drop in to this class anytime.
